After seeing my post on Julie and her HeartStrings helpers, Diannia had to make her own string star. She wrote that she quilted the top on her domestic sewing machine using muslin that had a preprinted quilting design and donated her quilt to the church for a fundraiser.
G’day Diannia,
Your quilt is bonza, and although I’m only a newy to quilting (2 odd years), this one is egging me on to give it a go. Four of us have started up a “Patchy/Stringy Pals group, so it would be a great Friendship Quilt for us to make. I live in the bush,(North Queensland) so it’s almost like a ‘Bush Retreat’ for the girls. Well done you and all the members for your ‘caring for others’ work . Denise(Dee) Mooney

Hi! I thought I’d let you know that the quilt sold for $75.00 and the funds went to the youth group. The lady that bought the quilt then gifted it to a new member of the church that was expecting her 1st son.

How does one git the instructions for making this quilt? I love the fact of string quilts but have never made one and would love to do this one. Thank you for any assistance!
